It was an accident that we got into renovating real estate and real estate development. We were bankers that made loans to businesses and real estate investors. We also managed non-performing loan portfolios. As we ended up holding more and more REO, we thought to ourselves “why aren’t we renovating the properties ourselves?” We had a very talented designer on staff. We put together the right team and presto…here we are more than a decade later still going gangbusters.
